The latest free game to arrive on the Epic Games Store is BioShock: The Collection.
]]>BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea is a two-part DLC that sees the player return to the setting of the first and second games in the series, in order to discover what connects the cities of Rapture and Columbia and their respective stories. All the while, you'll be dealing with all the same dangers and puzzles that Andrew Ryan's failed utopia always brings.
]]>BioShock Infinite has less of a focus on exploration than the previous games in the series, but that doesn't mean there's none involved at all. One of the earliest examples is when you find an item marked "key to chest" and must find out where the key belongs. Alternatively, maybe you've spotted that locked box at the Lansdowne Residence and are wondering how to get it open.
]]>If you bought BioShock Infinite's Season Pass or own the game via BioShock: The Collection, one of the bonuses you're entitled to is the Early Bird Special Pack. This DLC contains a number of goodies, including damage upgrades and golden skins for the pistol and the machine gun.
]]>Some way into the story of BioShock Infinite, you'll be prompted to choose a necklace for your NPC companion, Elizabeth. The game makes much of the significance of the pendant on the necklace: one shows a bird flying free, while the other shows an empty cage. Both images have symbolic importance to Elizabeth's story, and making the right choice feels important.
]]>As you journey through the many mind-bending alternate worlds of BioShock Infinite, you'll find various coded messages left behind by the Vox Populi rebels. These will lead you to secret areas containing useful items if Elizabeth can decipher them — and if you can solve the riddles she decodes.
]]>A big part of BioShock 2 is exploration and survival, hunting around to find ammo and resources while constantly in peril. Occasionally, you'll come across a door barred by a vertical four-digit lock which you can interact with. Input the right code and you'll be granted access to a hoard of ammo, health, powers, and more that's often better than what you'll just find lying around.
]]>The first BioShock drops players into the nightmarish but beautiful city of Rapture. You’ll need to make your way through all kinds of horrid enemies, and you’ll quickly find that Rapture isn’t exactly a welcoming place. It’s a labyrinthian affair, with winding corridors and plenty of locked doors with valuable resources behind them.
