The first in a three-part series, the video features project lead Henrik Fåhraeus explaining the prominence of pagans in one of "Europe’s darkest and most brutal periods." The Old Gods releases on Mac and PC May 28, and players can choose to rule as a Pagan or Zoroastrian, and it also focuses on "the dreaded Vikings and their tradition of pillage and adventure."

In it, players can customize and tweak a ruling character to their heart's content by changing around a pre-created one or by creating an entirely new monarch with its own dynasty. The portrait, name, and coat of arms can be customized as well along with traits, stats and the size of the immediate family. Ruler Designer will be released on April 17 for $4.99.
