Now, she's entered Netflix's Wednesday season 2.
]]>Netflix has confirmed a whole bunch of new cast members joining Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2, with plenty of Earth Kingdom classic characters to be found.
]]>Netflix is sure to be hoping to pull in some big numbers with Arcane season 2, as the entire show is apparently the most expensive animated series ever.
]]>You'd think there might be some kind of complicated reason as to why a successful show like Squid Game is only getting one season, but it's actually quite simple.
]]>We don't exactly need one, but it seems that that rumoured English-language remake of Squid Game is in the works at Netflix with David Fincher at the helm.
]]>Netflix has reportedly closed its in-house triple-A game studio known as "Team Blue", with a number of high profile developers it'd hired to be part of that studio, as part of its efforts to expand into the video game sphere, having left the company.
]]>Netflix might be controlling its spending a little bit now, but is also still looking to put out gigantic blockbusters that rarely hit the big screen. Up next, we have the Russo Brothers' The Electric State, an adaptation of Simon Stålenhag's 2018 illustrated novel of the same name.
]]>Uh oh, it's sounding like The Witcher season 4 will have even more new faces, as the actor behind Vesemir has also reportedly been replaced.

]]>Still in the mood for more Peaky Blinders after season 6? Well, lucky you, as the plan was to make a movie - distributed by Netflix - to wrap everything up. ]]>Remember Netflix's Love, Death & Robots? No? Well, get on that show if you haven't, because it's one of the coolest animated anthology series around, and a fourth season is coming sooner rather than later. ]]>Making a post-apocalyptic zombie/heist movie set in Las Vegas which is boring should be more than enough reason to thrown anyone in director's jail for a decade. Yet, Netflix decided to give Zack Snyder another fat stack of dollars to develop Rebel Moon, a brand-new sci-fi universe with no clear defining traits other than being very violent and "not your family-friendly Star Wars" as long as you're watching the just-released director's cuts. Now, it appears the filmmaker's luck might've finally run out, as Army of the Dead isn't expanding with new movies or shows anymore.
]]>Those of you hoping to go into anime like Dandadan without seeing any spoilers need to be careful, as the first few episodes have been leaked.

]]>Terminator Zero, which is penned by The Batman Part II's Mattson Tomlin, looks pretty solid. But at the same time, it feels like the franchise just can't escape its basic premise, and the anime series' newest trailer is doubling down on what has always worked.
]]>You might not remember it, but in early 2022, Netflix and 2K jointly announced the BioShock movie was back from the dead and in active development. Later that year, we learned that Francis Lawrence (of I Am Legend and The Hunger Games fame) would be directing. Now, that's looking more and more unlikely.

]]>One Piece season 2 is yet to start filming, but it has just added a fresh batch of pirates for Luffy and co to take down.
]]>When a Delicious in Dungeon anime was announced way back in 2022, I immediately felt excited. I was a big fan of what I'd read of the manga at the time, and hearing the news that it was being handled by none other than Studio Trigger - the same animation team that's overseen projects like Kill la Kill, Little Witch Academia, and Promare, all of which have an incredible energy to them - did nothing to put me off. Of course, that meant that there were some big expectations for Trigger's adaptation of Delicious in Dungeon to match - those who loved the manga really loved it, so Trigger really couldn't afford to mess it up.

]]>Back in the day, about a decade ago, if a show with an active fandom got cancelled, you might find calls for Netflix to save it. It didn't always work, and there weren't even always calls to do so, but Netflix definitely had a helping hand in ensuring shows like Breaking Bad got a fifth season, and it did actually save others like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, one that was originally meant to air on NBC. Ultimately, to this day Netflix has canned a lot more than it has rescued, and yet we're here again hoping that it could potentially save the recently cancelled Scavengers Reign.
]]>Wake Up Dead Man, or Knives Out 3, only just got a title reveal this week, but the cast is already coming together, and it's looking strong so far.

]]>Netflix has been reminding everyone that Squid Game season 2 is still coming along after a lengthier than expected wait. In February, we also received one of the shortest teasers in recent memory, and with 2024 nearing the halfway point now, many are wondering when the marketing campaign is actually starting.

Anyhow, Netflix's flagship fantasy series has added three big names to its season four cast.
]]>If 2022's The Sandman won you over, and you want more from that universe, then you'll want to check out Netflix's latest addition to its world, Dead Boy Detectives.

]]>If you're into hard sci-fi and/or checking out Netflix's latest big shows, chances are you'll be watching 3 Body Problem starting today. After all, Netflix has blown $160 million (plus $200 on a deal with its creators) on the series, so it should at least feel grand, right?
]]>Delicious in Dungeon is having a little bit of a moment, and I'm personally thrilled to see it. When it comes to things like merchandise, you won't really see a series get any until it's in anime form, and a plethora of merch and things like collaboration cafes are typically reserved for more popular series - luckily the fantasy series from Ryoko Kui is being treated to both and more. It's refreshing, as Delicious in Dungeon is such a unique take on fantasy that the genre has sorely needed for the longest time. But it's not alone in revitalising fantasy.
]]>Netflix has released the first trailer for Rebel Moon Part 2, but it's looking like just as much of a Zack Snyder movie as the first one.
]]>Netflix's live action take on Avatar: The Last Airbender made quite a few changes from the original animated series. For the most part, I'm really not a big fan of them - I think a lot of them time they just feel like changes for the sake of them, others are clearly because the length of episodes and the season's structure is different. There's one in particular, about Zuko, that I actually quite like, and think is better than what happens in the original show. Most frustrating of all, it's the kind of decision that shows exactly what the show could have been.

]]>Supergiant Games and Netflix have announced the popular action RPG Hades will arrive for iOS on March 19.
]]>I definitely think it would be a little bit silly, and certainly an over-exaggeration, to say that the original animated Avatar: The Last Airbender is a perfect show. It's an incredible show, with an approach to colonialism that feels surprisingly solid both because it's a kids show (and an American kids show made in the 2000s, to boot). Not to mention a stellar cast of characters, a fun and well-developed concept, and a narrative drive that keeps you coming back for more.
]]>Ahead of the Oscars next month, Netflix has released its best animated feature film nominee Nimona on YouTube, completely for free.
]]>As big as Squid Game was in 2021, we don't blame you if you had forgotten about season 2 coming later this year to Netflix. It's been a while, but marketing is finally starting.

]]>Netflix is truly going all in on One Piece, as the show's upcoming season Egghead Arc is set to air on the streaming service next week.
]]>Back in the day, before I started doing this weird job called video games journalism, I worked in hospitality for more years than I'd like to think about. It was always going to happen, my family has a background in it, and my dad's a chef, so food was just a big part of my life anyway. In turn, I'm lucky enough to know a little bit about cooking, and have gotten pretty good at it! It's a skill you have to put time into, as it's not exactly something most people will teach you, which sometimes makes it hard to learn. But, and bear with me here, I honestly think Delicious in Dungeon, Netflix's latest anime about killing monsters and turning them into delicious meals, has some surprisingly good lessons about cooking.
]]>Sorry, Andrew Garfield fans, but the Amazing Spider-Man actor is no longer set to star in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein film.

]]>According to a recent report, Netflix is currently figuring out how to make more money from its games, supposedly considering introducing ads and in-app purchases.
]]>With another year coming to a close, that means there's a whole new year of anime to look forward to. There was plenty to enjoy in 2023, but 2024 is looking pretty stacked already, and that's taking into consideration that there are still plenty of announcements to be made.
]]>Rebel Moon: Part One is about to finally hit Netflix, but Zack Snyder is already saying his longer, R-rated cut is much better.
]]>Perhaps unsurprisingly, the showrunner of Netflix's live action take on Avatar: The Last Airbender felt a bit stressed out when the original show's creators left.
]]>Netflix has released a trailer for an exciting Sci-fi movie - The Kitchen. It's set in a version of dystopian London in which the socioeconomic divide has never been wider, and police disrupt communities with physical force. So not much different than actual London, then.
]]>One Piece fans will seemingly never have to worry about the series ending, as Netflix is now working on an anime remake starting from the very beginning.
]]>Today, in sentences I thought I'd never type: Netflix's Beverly Hills Cop 4, a late sequel that'd make like $7 if they dropped it in cinemas, doesn't look bad.
]]>Sam Esmail's movie Leave the World Behind, his first directing work since Mr. Robot ended, is Netflix's most-watched original at the moment despite causing a bit of division among viewers.

]]>While Japan has been getting fresh episodes of Pokemon Horizons since April, the new anime will finally be released in English next year, exclusively on Netflix.
]]>Scott Pilgrim Takes Off fans likely have a season two on their minds right now, but the show's creators don't have any plans for one right now.
]]>While it's only been out for around a week now, I think it's safe to say that Scott Pilgrim Takes Off is one of animation studio Science Saru's best. Killer animation with great character designs, a soundtrack you can't help but jam to, and a star studded cast, it has it all. But there's another Netflix anime that really helped put the studio on the map, and one you really should check out if you haven't: Devilman Crybaby.
]]>I was looking forward to Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. We all know that Scott Pilgrim himself is a POS, but there was no denying that Scott Pilgrim vs. The World was a lively, unique film at the time, with a fantastic cast of actors involved.
]]>Scott Pilgrim creator Bryan Lee O'Malley has shared some of his thoughts in response to fan's feelings on the anime's changes.
]]>When I started Final Fantasy 7 Remake, it was a strange feeling; everything was different, but the same. Shinier, prettier perhaps, with some shots being a one-for-one of the original. There was something familiar about it, which was obviously the point. I've had that feeling again recently, with Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, an anime take on the classic comic series. I've watched the live action film more times than I can count (I'm bad at maths), so the first episode required a bit of an adjustment period. And then, much like with Final Fantasy 7 Remake, something new happened.
]]>
