]]>Warner Bros. Australia has confirmed that Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will release on Wii U on May 22. Obviously, this information only pertain to Australia, but it's quite likely other territories will follow suit, especially given the recent listings by various retailers. The sandbox action affair arrived on other platforms in June last year.
]]>Warner Bros. has yet to cough up a press release, but several retailers have put a May 21 release date to the Wii U version of Lego Batman 2: DC Super Heroes. The Traveller's Tales sequel is already available on 3DS, DS, PC, PlayStation 3, Vita, Wii and Xbox 360, but had heretofore only garnered a vague northern spring or summer release date. Amazon, Best Buy and Gamestop have now provided a more solid window, at least for North America.
]]>Warner and TT Games have announced LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will be released on Wii U. The game has sold 3.4 million units since its 2012 release, and has been enhanced for Wii U with an interactive map and character selection tools using the GamePad's touchscreen. Tge game can also be played using off-TV mode, or through single-screen co-op. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes will launch on the console in the spring.
]]>Expand your Lego Batman 2: DC Heroes roster with a couple of DLC packs added to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live today. The Heroes pack features Nightwing, Katana, Shazam, Zatanna and Bruce Wayne’s son, Damian Wayne, in his new role as Robin. The Villains pack adds Bizzaro, Captain Cold, Black Adam, Black Manta and Gorilla Grodd. The new characters are available in Freeplay mode. Lego Batman 2 sat at the top of the UK charts for five weeks and has proved an enduring success in the US, too.

]]>2.1 million games were sold at retail in the UK throughout June, down more than 40 percent on the same month in 2011, while revenue raised by UK stores was down from £78.4 million to £48.4 million, a drop of 38 percent.
The number one selling game in June was Ubisoft's Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, followed by LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes, which has so far spent three consecutive weeks at the top of the UK charts.
The grim sales figures come as Wedbush Morgan analyst, Michael Pachter, predicted that US sales during June will be down by around 34% year-on-year.
