In Ascend: Hand of Kul, formerly known as Ascend: New Gods, the deity you align yourself with will provide your character with specific abilities in which to dispatch of your enemies.The chaotic Goddess of Darkness, the "zealous" God of Light, or the "manipulative" Lord of the Void will each bestow upon the faithful various spells as well as abilities which can enhance your melee damage or reinforce your armor. According to a post over on playXBLA, since the game's reveal at E3 2012, and the "New Gods are no longer new," and it's more fitting to have a game with a title which ties in more to the story. Developed by Signal Studios, the F2P game is still accepting beta applications, and will eventually be released on Xbox 360, and possibly Xbox "Infinity" should the rumors prove true.
