The "Limited" PlayStation 3 Edition of Dead Space 2 comes with a pretty spiffy bundle - Wii title Dead Space: Extraction, ported over in a Move-friendly fashion. But the port process is fraught with peril. What changes has the Big Black Box wrought? Are hardcore fans perhaps obligated to pick up this new version for extra content and plot details?

]]>Dead Space Extraction has more than 500 percent more dialogue in it than the original game, senior designer John Calhoun confirmed in the video you can see after the break.
"One of the things that fans may not know about this game is that we actually have over five times more dialogue than the original Dead Space," said the developer.
"This is a story-driven game, and the reason why it succeeds as a story-driven game is because of the calibre of the actors. This triple-A cast really delivers."
Please, please watch the movie below. The Wii shooter releases on October 2, and in terms of presentation and voice acting at least, it looks most definitely "not s**t".

]]>Dead Space Extraction will be released in North American on September 29 and in Europe on October 2.
EA announced it this morning via a press release, which is posted after the break.
"Our team is really excited to bring the intensity of the Dead Space universe to an entire new audience,” said producer, Steve Papoutsis.
"We are going to deliver the same high quality, cinematic experience we delivered in the original Dead Space, while also adding co-op, new enemies, weapons and taking advantage of all of the unique features the Wii has to offer.”

There's some old stuff in there as well, we think. One blowy-uppy monster starts to look a little like all the others after a while.

]]>EA's released the first footage of just-announced Wii horror Dead Space Extraction, showing a first-person game.
The preceding 360 and PS3 titles were third-person action efforts.
The new version is due for release at the end of this year, and features a woman in the lead role.
Extraction's story takes place on land, being set on a distant mining colony, as opposed to the spaceship setting of the first game.

EA's just confirmed its Dead Space Wii game is called Extraction, and is to include a new protagonist and "co-operative multiplayer gameplay".
“We could not be more excited to extend Dead Space into an experience exclusive to the Wii. Nintendo has a wonderful history in the horror genre and we are thrilled to build on that tradition with Dead Space Extraction,” said EA Redwood Shores boss Glen Schofield.
“As we were developing Dead Space, we realized that there was so much of the story going untold. Dead Space Extraction tells that story with all of the intensity, blood and gore that fans would expect.”
The lead character's a woman this time, with the story being set on a mining colony as opposed to a ship.
