]]>The Michael Bay-directed trailer for Need for Speed: The Run was "liked" enough times on Facebook to warrant a release by EA. It's posted below the break, and it is, indeed pretty swish. We noticed a couple scenes in it that reminded us vaguely of his Transformers flicks, but, we could also be imagining things as well. Watch for yourself below. The game is out in mid-November. ]]>Starting today, folks can unlock a Need for Speed: The Run trailer by "liking" the game's Facebook page. It was created by Michael "everything is better with explosions" Bay, who apparently, "player the game and spoke with the creative production team to get a feel for the franchise." The page needs 250,000 "points" in order for the trailer to unlock, and as of this post, there's 63,976. The game is out later this month. Thanks, Blue.

It was announced after the end of a, quite frankly, badly-controlled demo by EA Japan at a stage show for the game by Sega, who are publishing EA's titles in the country. ]]>Sony has posted a video featuring Need for Speed:The Run executive producer Jason DeLong showing the PS Blog how the Frostbite engine provides a more cinematic experience to the game. The video, which is posted below, also shows a play-session featuring cars speeding down Independence Pass in Colorado, which was also shown during EA's gamescom presser. Other terrains are shown as well, and DeLong also discusses how the development went about incorporating the route players will take in the game. Game's out in November.
