]]>Is Fallout supposed to make you think about society? I'd argue that, at its best, it is, with capitalism being an obvious candidate to explore, given the mainline series' unflinchingly corporate American atomic age-inspired setting and the whole resource war that led up to the bombs being dropped. Though, according to co-creator Tim Cain, that isn't the central crux of Fallout theme-wise.

]]>To me, Wizards of the Coast is the company that made the Pokemon Trading Card Game. That probably speaks to my age as well as to my level of exposure to the company: it was in fact only responsible for the first few waves of Western Pokemon releases, before Pokemon spun up its own internal operation. That just so happened to be when the TCG had taken over my school playground. But, the point is, of everything WOTC has done, I typically still associate them with a brand they haven’t worked with for decades.
]]>“I remember the first three days, everything was so perfect,” Fallout: Deadweight writer and director Nigel Kim tells me. “Everything we got was so perfect that I was having the most fun of my entire life just being there on that set.”

]]>Ok, so Fallout 4’s next-gen update finally drops this week, and, obviously, it’s not remotely close to being Fallout 5.

]]>TV shows are alarmingly short these days. Long gone is the era of 26 episode seasons. Nowadays, you're lucky to get ten episodes per year of your favourite show. With Fallout, the absolute television event of the year, we've had to make do with just eight installments. Sure, that means there's very little fat or filler in there, but damnit, we just want to spend more time in the wasteland with those particular characters. Because, let's be frank, the TV show is great. Even the director of the original game thinks so.
]]>One of the original creators of Fallout, Tim Cain, has revealed his full thoughts on the recently released Fallout TV show, after having previously given the first two episodes a thumbs up. A producer, lead programmer and designer on the original game, Cain came away from Amazon's own take on the Fallout universe with positive thoughts on the series, expressing interest in season 2.

]]>Before I get started, I'm going to have to ask you to put your guns down, because here's the thing: I don't really like the Fallout games. My first experience of actually playing them was with Fallout 4, which I do admit isn't the best way to start things off for a franchise that has run as long as it has, but it is what it is. I managed to make it a few hours into Fallout 4, but to be honest I just didn't vibe with it. The game did a pretty bad job at making me care about my baby, and I just felt a bit listless heading out into the wastelands. Not to mention the fact that I really didn't care for the stiff, boring shooting that becomes all the more painful when you encounter a flying enemy, V.A.T.S. or not.
]]>If you've watched all of Amazon's Fallout TV show by now, odds are you're either on the verge of - or already have - hopped back into one of the games in the series. You're certainly not alone in the regard, but if you've picked Fallout 4 on Xbox specifically, you might have run into the small problem of achievements just not unlocking.

Assuming a second series does go ahead, as we expect, you might get to hear a familiar voice from the Capital Wasteland take on an interesting new role.

]]>A complete disaster at launch, Fallout 76 had to earn players' trust back over the years. Has it succeeded? I'd say it's been in pretty good shape for around three years or so now. In fact, I already rambled about how you should've played it ahead of Starfield last year. Now, with the shockingly great Fallout series out in the wild, perhaps it's the perfect time to either jump into it for the first time or return and see what's changed.
]]>Prime Video's Fallout show has mostly gone down well with fans, though there are some that are wondering if New Vegas is still canon.

]]>Some of the folks who've been dedicating a good chunk of the week to watching some - or a lot - of Amazon's Fallout TV show, just as fans like you and me have, are people who've actually worked on the games. In fact, one of them, original Fallout co-creator Tim Cain, might have spotted a reference to that first game in the series that seemingly wasn't even explicity planned by the showrunners.
]]>Odds are if you're a Fallout fan, you've either already blazed through Amazon's Fallout TV show, or are dilligently working your way through the episodes when life allows. No matter how far you are in, one of the things you'll definitely seen is the cool tranqiliser pistol being wielded by Lucy. If you a big fan of it, a new Fallout 4 mod is definitely for you.
]]>With comic book projects self-regulating and becoming just another genre (with some exceptions), monster brawls becoming a thing in the West, and star-studded originals regaining lost ground, the post-pandemic Hollywood landscape, both in theaters and on TV, looks nothing like the pre-2020 tug-of-war. There's always a big thing, however, and now, after Fallout's success, it's all but confirmed that video game adaptations are next in line.
]]>Amazon's Fallout TV Show is here now, but before it was, the show had a swanky Hollywood premiere that I'm sure my invite for got lost in the post. At that premiere, snazzily dressed Todd Howard said some things, and some of these things were about the potential idea of an Elder Scrolls adaptation. When it comes to such a thing, it sounds like Howard's plan is - simply put - to keep on being picky.

]]>Boo! You know the Fallout TV Show, that thing that was originally gonna drop on April 12, and up until today we all thought was dropping on April 11? Well, now it's dropping slightly earlier still, because its release date won't stop scrabbling forwards like a feral ghoul that's survived have its legs blown off.
]]>Thinking about checking out Prime Video's Fallout show, but don't have a subscription? You'll be able to watch the first episode for free, but only on Twitch.
]]>As you might be aware, one of the many themes of the Fallout series is that allowing a world to be filled with with lots of big corporations sucking up resources at an unsustainable rate in pursuit of endless growth will, er, probably not end well. Apparently, this is something the Fallout TV Show's creators were keen to capture, despite the fact the series is being released exclusively via the streaming service of, er, Amazon.
]]>The Fallout TV Show drops on Amazon Prime later this week, and if you're replaying Fallout 4 while you wait for April 11 to arrive, a new mod definitely looks like it's worth grabbing. ]]>Hey you. Remember the town that served as the background to the showdown in that first clip from the Fallout TV show we got last month? Well, it sounds like it's actually inspired by Fallout 3's Megaton, with a mountain of useful rubbish taking the place of the unexploded nuke.
]]>While we know the Fallout TV show that’s set to drop very soon on Prime Video will feature plenty of things you’re familiar with in terms of factions and items, even if the characters are all new, one of the things designed to help set it apart from the games sounds pretty interesting. ]]>You know the Fallout TV series that’s set to drop on Amazon Prime Video next month? Well, apparently Todd Howard’s made sure it won’t step on Fallout 5’s toes by stepping in to say no whenever an idea that’s in the plans for the game came up during the show’s filming.
