Producer Yoshinori Kitase said Square Enix will announce a new title in the Final Fantasy XIII series. The new game, if that's what it is, has just gone into production, and is being called "Lightning Saga" until the official title is released on September 1. Good news for fans of FFXIII-2, less so for those hoping to hear something Versus XIII.

But wait, there's more - maybe the publisher will finally give us some hope for the long-delayed Final Fantasy Versus XIII, or a sequel to Type-0, both once touted as part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis sequence. ]]>The latest issue of Fasmitsu has revealed the next two characters for the Coliseum Mode in Final Fantasy XIII-2 as Snow and Valfodr. The episode for Snow, which is new and themed as "Don't fight for me," will show the emotional bond between Snow and Serah. Director Motomu Toriyama told Famitsu the episode will "clear up some mysteries behind the coliseum itself," as well as learn about Snow's mission as a L'Cie. Valfodr will be able to use weapons, magic and summons to the point where you will have to best him multiple times throughout the episode. Each time, he comes back at higher level with additional abilities. He's the strongest, and "the last boss" you'll face in the Coliseum and at max level will be the most "powerful monster in Final Fantasy XIII-2 as a whole." Snow's learnable arsenal consists of Hellflame, Hellspark, Hellstorm and Hellfreezer. Lots of Hell, apparently. The content will be released on the May 15th. Big thanks, Andriasang.

The content went live in the US yesterday, and now the UK can now purchase the swank Assassin's Creed outfit for 240 MS Points on Xbox 360 and for £1.59 pm PSN.
