The excellent looking RTS is a PC exclusive and will be released on February 19th.
"Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II will build on the critical acclaim and commercial success of the Dawn of War franchise, letting players experience RTS gaming like never before," said Kevin Kraff, vice president of global brand management for THQ.

]]>Relic has revealed the details of how and when you can get access to the Dawn of War II beta.
The beta will be made available through Steam and if you're a proud Dawn of War: Soulstorm you can get in as early as January 21. If not, then you'll have to wait a week until the 28th.
The beta will let you play as any of Dawn of War II's four races - Space Marines, Orks, Eldar, Tyranids - and includes five multiplayer maps.

]]>Gamespot's posted up a new look at Relic's Dawn of War II, as well as a video interview after the break containing plenty of new in-game footage.
There's a lot of detail in there, and it looks as though the original's taken a heavy overhaul. Characters are upgraded throughout the campaign now, and the UI's changed significantly over Dawn of War.
Gamespot says that, "The new game's single-player campaign will be an intriguing experience that's more focused on tactical elements from Relic's own award-winning Company of Heroes, as well as hack-and-slash elements of some of the best action RPGs."
Really can't wait for this. New graphics card 'r' us. It's out early next year.

]]>Jonny Ebbert, lead designer on Dawn of War II, has said the reason the Tyranid race didn't go into the first Dawn of War because there was no time and the game's tech was young.
"We actually wanted to put them in the original Dawn of War but it was a very quick project and the engine was new, and we weren't sure that we could do everything with the Tyranids that we wanted to do," he said.
"With the sequel we got our next generation engine, and we knew that we could roll out the Tyranids in a way that would be really exciting."
