]]>Hawken's latest update has gone live, and includes the latest map, Facility, which send pilots back to the Illalian desert which contains structures unblemished by the Hawken virus. Facility is a "pristine, functioning installation" and was previously available to play in the open beta as an unskinned test map. Along with the map, the update contains new customizations, gameplay balancing, and interface improvements. Ausgamers reports these new destinations aren't just dedicated servers located in the US, but properly hosted local offerings. ]]>Warner Premiere, the company behind live-action Mortal Kombat: Legacy, has announced it's secured the rights to develop a web series based on the futuristic mech shooter Hawken. Initial plans for the web series will take fans to the start of the series where humans on an industrialized planet are battling for dwindling resources. Copper Media, a new division of Silver Pictures Entertainment, Warner Bros. Digital Distribution and DJ2 Entertainment are attached to produce.
